Teams and roles

Create a team in Nubo Home and learn what owners, admins and members can each do, including per-member app access.

Create a team in the Teams tab of Nubo Home by entering a team or company name; a custom domain is optional. The person who creates it is the owner. Other people are admins or members.

How do I create a team?

  1. Open Nubo Home and choose Teams.
  2. Enter the team or company name and, if you have one, a domain such as acme.com.
  3. Choose Create team.

What can each role do?

Action Owner Admin Member
Use all apps the team allows Yes Yes Yes
Invite people and revoke invitations Yes Yes No
Remove or disable members Yes Yes No
Change a member’s role Yes Yes (member only) No
Make someone an admin Yes No No
Choose which apps a member can use Yes Yes No
Give a member an address on the team domain Yes Yes No
Require two-step verification Yes Yes No
Add a custom domain Yes No No
Change team drive settings and folder permissions Yes Yes No
Delete the team Yes No No
Leave the team No Yes Yes

The team drive also has a guest role, which can reach only the folders it is granted. See Team drive.

How do I limit which apps people can use?

An owner or admin can edit App access for the team, and the Apps button beside a member sets that person’s apps. A team whose app list lacks Drive makes the team drive inaccessible.

How do I leave or delete a team?

Members and admins use Leave. The owner can delete the team; this cannot be done by anyone else. If the team row is deleted, its drive is frozen: nobody has access and the files are kept until an administrator on our side exports or purges them.

Where do seats come in?

Each active member uses a seat. See Plans and seats.
