Security settings for a team

How a team owner or admin requires two-step verification, sets a grace period and turns external sharing off.

A team owner or admin can require two-step verification for everyone in the team. In the Teams tab, tick “Require 2-step verification for everyone in this team” and set a grace period in days (0 to 90, default 14). After the grace period, members without an authenticator or passkey are blocked until they set one up.

How do I require two-step verification?

  1. Open Teams in Nubo Home, then the Security card for your team.
  2. Tick the requirement and choose a grace period.
  3. Save.

What do members see?

During the grace period they see a banner. Afterwards, every request except those to sign-in, the Security tab, profile and “who am I” fails with 2fa_setup_required until they enable an authenticator app or a passkey in Security.

How do I see who has set it up?

The Teams tab shows “2-step on” or “2-step off” per member.

Can I stop members sharing files outside?

Yes. Switch off external sharing for the team; see Sharing files and Team drive.

Can I reset a member’s password?

Owners and admins have a reset action in the platform. A self-service button for it in Home is not documented; ask support.
