Frequently asked questions
Short answers to the questions people ask first about Nubo Suite and about Nubo OS, including what is not built yet.
These answers come from the Nubo repository. Where something is not built or not confirmed, the answer says so. Questions about the operating system are at the end.
Nubo Suite
What is Nubo Suite?
A private business suite of 51 connected apps with one sign-in, made by Chandorkar Technologies in Pune, India. See What is Nubo Suite?.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Free includes all apps with 5 GB of storage, a 2 GB mailbox and 50 AI chat requests a day. See Plans and seats.
Where is my data stored?
Data is hosted by Hetzner in Helsinki, Finland. Hetzner’s exact legal entity and the processing location of our AI provider are not yet confirmed. See Where your data lives.
Can I use my own domain for email?
Yes. A team owner adds the domain in the Teams tab, publishes the DNS records Nubo shows, and once the MX record points to mail.nubo.email the domain is verified and each member can get an address on it. SPF and DKIM for your domain stay your responsibility. See Custom domain and mail.
Can I move my email, contacts and calendar from another provider?
There is no mailbox migration tool. Contacts import from vCard, calendars from .ics, and several apps import CSV and Office files. See Moving to Nubo.
Does Nubo have an AI that makes pictures or video?
No. The AI is a text chat assistant. See What AI features exist.
Is end-to-end encryption available?
We do not claim end-to-end encryption. Your content is stored under your account and shared only as you decide. See Security and privacy.
Do you have an uptime guarantee or a status page?
No. There is no public status page and no contractual uptime commitment unless agreed in writing. If something looks wrong, write to support@nubo.email. See Support and status.
Is there a mobile app?
Not yet published. The apps run in a browser, including on phones.
Can I self-host Nubo Suite?
No. It is a hosted service. Nubo OS is a separate, open source product.
How do I delete my account?
Use Delete account in the Account tab of Home. See Deleting your account.
How do I contact you?
support@nubo.email, or phone on weekdays. See Support and status.
Nubo OS

Five years from Ubuntu 26.04 LTS, to April 2031.
What are the system requirements?
Nubo has not published its own minimum RAM, disk or screen figures. A 64-bit Intel/AMD or Arm processor is confirmed. See System requirements.
