Support address for Help Desk
Turn mail sent to your own support address into Help Desk tickets by adding your domain and setting the support address in Help Desk.
Mail sent to your support address on your own domain becomes tickets in Help Desk. Add and verify your domain, then open Help Desk and go to Admin, Email, Support address. Nubo checks for new mail every 60 seconds.
What do I need first?
- A domain added and verified under Teams, Custom domain, with the MX record pointing to
mail.nubo.email. See Custom domain and mail setup. - Help Desk, owned by you. Help Desk is in early alpha; see Help Desk.
How do I set it up?
- Open Help Desk and go to Admin, Email, Support address.
- Enter the support address you want, for example
support@yourcompany.com. Nubo creates a shared mailbox with polling on and registers the Help Desk to be told when mail arrives. - Send a test message to the address. A ticket should appear within about a minute.
What are the limits?
- Mail that arrived before you switched the support address on is not imported.
- Time-based actions in Help Desk, such as auto-close, need a scheduler that is not built.
- Outgoing trigger emails need the owner’s plan to allow transactional mail. Whether this works in production is not yet confirmed.
