Where do I open Parametric?
Open Parametric at https://parametric.nubosuite.tech or from the Apps tab in Nubo Home. You sign in once with your Nubo account for every app; see Create an account and sign in.
What can Parametric do?
- Constrained sketches. Relations, smart dimensions and live degrees-of-freedom status.
- Solid features. Extrude, revolve, sweep, loft, fillet, shell and holes.
- Drawing sheets. Projected views with dimensions, exported to PDF or SVG.
- STEP and STL. Export for manufacturing, import STEP and SolidWorks parts.
Know when a sketch is fully defined
Geometry shows blue while it can still move, black when fixed and red on conflict. Snapping infers relations for you, and the status bar shows remaining degrees of freedom.
Build the part feature by feature
Add bosses and cuts, fillets, chamfers, shells, counterbored and countersunk holes, plus linear, circular and mirrored patterns. Faces are referenced by name, so edits survive dimension changes.
Describe a part and review the result
Ask for a plate with four holes and rounded corners, or attach a sketch or datasheet. Each message is a single undo step, and failing changes are reverted after a rebuild check.
What else is in Parametric?
- Mass properties. Mass, volume, area, center of mass and inertia.
- Measure and section. Measure distances and cut a section view.
- Open SolidWorks parts. Read .sldprt files as exact solids you can keep modeling on.
- Materials. Assign material and appearance to a part.
- Crash recovery. Unsaved work is recovered after a reload.
- Sheet sizes. A4 to A1, Letter and Tabloid with a title block.
Which apps does Parametric work with?

Common questions about Parametric
Does the SolidWorks feature tree come across?
No. The solid is read exactly and becomes an imported body, but the feature tree is not carried over.
Is it ready for production designs?
It is an early alpha, so keep a downloaded copy of anything important.
Which AI models does the assistant use?
It runs on Nubo AI, and you can pick a model at the top of the panel.
